Industrial Pipe Clamps Explained
Hoses find wide use in different industries, whether the use is to transport fluid from one point to another in an engine or to transfer bore water to be used for drinking or some other industries. Looking at home, you can see that your radiator also uses hoses, the heater as well. The power steering system uses hoses and even the breaks.
As we mentioned before, hoses provide fluid form one place to another. Also, it can connect two different components. For instance, the lower hose of any radiator emits cold from the bottom part to the inside pipe and also connects the heater to the tube. For that reason, engineers invented industrial pipe clamps, something that holds the system together.
However, what are industrial pipe clamps?
Fluid going through the hoses is always under pressure, there must be a safe way to make sure that the hose works as it should. This is where industrial pipe clamps play a role. They are simple yet really functional. They come in two types a spring type and a banded type. The banded type of the clamp is used for a broad range of settings, but you can notice them that they are generally used in tight areas. They are made from a grooved band of metal together with a screw and catch. On end on both sides of the hose clamp, you can see a catch and a screw that is used to tighten the band.
On the other hand, a spring type pipe clamps is a bit different. They are very durable and made from a flexible metal. This clamp is made from two tabs that are integrated while producing and each one of them has a circle at the end. When you squeeze them towards each other, they open another clamp that allows the user to install a hose or remove one. When you calculate the pressure on the pump, the spring that is closed and holds the tight won’t need any screw or anything else to catch.
Both of these styles are used in various situations, whether an automotive situation or a bore water situation. Also, they will hold radiator hoses, power hoses, brakes and much more. Although while using them you should be cautious because you will need to make sure that the screw type are not overtightened because this can damage the hose and create a leak, which can create a real danger.
