Random Acts of Kindness to Awaken Humanity’s Numbness
We don’t need a Superman to save us from evil and unknown forces. We don’t need an army of super soldiers with highly advanced equipment and weaponry. In a matter of fact, we could use their powers to protect Earth, but they are of no use when it comes to saving our world from ourselves. We are consumed by a certain dark force which tricks us into being more selfish than selfless and be mean to other people. But that doesn’t mean there’s no hope – random acts of kindness can save the world!
As long as there are people who give up their bus seats for elderly, occasionally tip waiters, give candies to children on the street, stop to help stranded cars, compliment their friends or any other sort of simple and random acts of kindness, there is hope for a better world. Whether these acts are just out of politeness or completely meaningless, they have the potential to change the way we see the world.
If you want to play your part in making the world a better place for all of us, start using all your manners, forgive, respect, compliment, volunteer and of course, do random acts of kindness on a daily basis. Here are a few random acts of kindness ideas that can inspire you to help make the world a better place one act of kindness at a time.
Surprise Random People
Write about 100 different motivational and positive quotes on little paper notes and put them in a box. Leave the box in a public place with a note that clearly states that everyone who’s passing by can draw a note. The best part of this kind act is – a person who is going through tough times could draw a quote that says “Keep going. You’re getting there” and find an instant boost of strength and the will to carry on.
Give Compliments to Your Friends
If you notice that your friend is wearing a new T-shirt with a cool TV character or has made something different with the hair, don’t let the opportunity to give them a compliment slip away. Complimenting your friends takes no time, it costs you nothing and could make their day awesome. Don’t overthink, just speak your mind.
Help Elderly and Handicapped People
Whenever you find yourself around elderly or handicapped people who, unlike you, sometimes struggle to do their daily routines and duties, offer your help. Many people treat them as they are invisible, while all they need is someone to give them a smile and offer help.
Help Your Friends
Unfortunately, rough times are an essential part of life and we’re all going through such. There is nothing that can help better to get through difficult times than having a friend who truly values the friendship. If your friend needs you, give them all of your time, support and love you can. Since friends usually don’t accept financial support, buy them some food and drinks, so they couldn’t be able to reject the time and effort you’ve put into it.
Donate Books to a Library
Instead of keeping your used books in your magazine, donate them to your local library and help thousands of children get their hands on their favorite books. Insufficient financial resources is the biggest reason that keeps the books away from the hands of the youngest. However, libraries offer the used books that all of you donate and make them affordable for everyone.
Plant a Tree – The meaning of trees to the Earth is commonly underestimated, while they are responsible for filtering the air we cannot live without, controlling the climate and of course, creating the amazing wonders of nature. So, the best way to reciplicate the amount of green nature gives us for free is to simply plant a tree. This small and random act of kindness can definitely make a huge difference.
